hey guys! do any of you have ball pythons (or other snakes) that just have ridiculous feeding responses? like roaming around because of the smell of food and striking at the first sign of movement?
one of my little balls (about 120 grams) was doing just that just now. she's been roaming a bunch for a few days after taking a huge poo, so I knew she was hungry. and again she was roaming when I opened her tub. she immediately struck out and as I wasn't expecting it, she struck at ME and I dropped the lil rat on one of my gecko's tubs. I picked it up and she struck the air/at me three more times before I could get her mouth on the rat. she was definitely hungry and got the rat down quickly!
look at how you can see the colors of the rat! I don't know much about rodent coloration, but I think it was a hooded one. so cool!
