Gerbils take very little time to look after. Female gerbils tend to be more aggressive to each other though, and when gerbils fight its usually to the death. I'd suggest getting a pair of males (either 6 to 8 weeks old or already living together) They're great pets though  I've kept gerbils before, so I'm pretty familiar with the time commitment but school is really bogging me down! The last pair I kept were two brothers, so I wanted to mix it up a bit and try females. There's a male trio and a female trio at my local shelter, so I think I'll meet them and find out their personalities and then decide the girls are so cute though! The female group has a black gerbil, a nutmeg gerbils, and a fawn gerbil (which is one of my fav colorations). I'll just see what happens! |
