Hi everyone! My name is Stephie (I can be found on tumblr as amusementofaprincess). I'm 27 and have 2 cats, 2 Guinea pigs and plan on getting a Betta once I have time re-arrange my room to fit a 5 gallon tank. I occasionally help out at my local shelter when they get a piggie or bunny. My cats are 14 and 11ish and my Guinea pigs are 2 and 4. Umm... That's all I can think of.  |

Hi everyone! I'm laurenwilmshurst/pond-dipping on tumblr. =)
I'm twenty-five, UK-based, and just graduated from an Illustration degree. I'm working on invoicing my first job at the moment (exciting!) I'm aiming to get a part-time job (probably waitressing, I like waitressing, although fingers-crossed for helping at an adorable plant-and-crafts shop!) while I work on coming up with a notebook/stationery range. I also do embroidery and bookbinding. I collect houseplants and try not to kill them. I'm doing pretty well at that!
Our family has two dogs—a labrador, Bosco, and a collie, Tilly—two cats—Oscar and Whiskas—two rabbits—Honey and Cocoa, and then I look after two fishtanks. A 70litre with Amano shrimp, lamp-eyes, a remaining pair of guppies, three snails, and Toksvig my blue plakat betta. The 30litre tank, which I'll be planting up in the next week, houses Io, formally known as Finnymore, who was sold as a crown tail female but is neither of those things. He has very pretty blue and red colours.
I admire Savannah's/pardonmyfish's leopard gecko Aloe and would love a gecko of my own—and axolotls, and quail, and canaries, and you get the idea. I want to live in my own menagerie. But that's not going to happen until I'm standing on my own two feet financially.
It's great seeing familiar faces, and new!

Hey everyone! I've been looking for a fish/herp forum to join again and this place looks awesome! I love the knowledge tumblr has but their comment format always throws me off. I like forums for that much better. So anyway. I'm Izzy ( izzy-the-fish-girl from tumblr). I've been a member of the fish community there since 2012. I've been keeping fish since 2007, but I've lived with animals my whole life. I'm a grad student right now, so I've had to seriously downsize my pets. Right now I just have a 29 gal softwater planted and my cat, Lucky, living with me. At my mother's home in Virginia we have two additional cats, a lab mix, and my 3500 gal koi pond, but sadly I only see them a few times a year. In the past I've kept goldfish, betta, gourami, catfish. I've also helped out at the fish lab at my university which had me taking care of tilapia, fathead minnows, and sturgeon. I have an undergraduate degree in fisheries science and I'm getting my master's in environmental education. My ultimate dream is to work in education at a zoo or aquarium. I'm a member of the local herp society as well as the American Fisheries Society and do outreach events whenever I can. I plan to get a snake some time in the next year or so. As for species, well that's not decided yet (because I want too many). But I've made a deal with myself that when I get my paper published, I'll get a snake! So I'm here to help with freshwater fish questions and learn even more about snakes! Outside of animals, I also enjoy gardening and hiking. I love carnivorous plants and also run a blog about them! |

Outside of animals, I also enjoy gardening and hiking. I love carnivorous plants and also run a blog about them! I think we need a plant thread. (Also, is the plantblr tag a thing? I didn't know that!) I like carnivorous plants but don't own any. I keep forgetting we have water butts full of rainwater I could use. |

I started following a couple of the succulent blogs. I'm trying to work out if there's a way to attach my instagram to a blog that isn't my main—because my main is my art-blog and semi-professional—so my plant photos can go there instead.

Hey guys I'm Anna, 18 and British I have a royal named Erebos (though I usually refer to his dumb butt as Bo) two gerbils named Rutherford (who's a total sweetie) and Bohr (who's the devil incarnate...). I also kind of have two rescue horses in that I work with and look after them for their owner. They're named Ronnie and Lex |

Hey all!
I'm Sierra, but I also respond to Pete or Beam. I'm beammeupbetta on tumblr. I'm a 21 year old Bio-anthropology student, graduating this semester if all goes well.
I currently have 4 rats (Olive, Poppy, Birdie, and Rhubarb), 1 African pinstripe mantis (Khutulun), a koi plakat betta (Scotty), and an ultra lavender corn snake (Poptart). Olive, Poppy, Birdie, and Poptart are all rescues/rehomes.
I am a person of many interests, from martial arts to embroidery, osteology to body modification, so I might weigh in on a weird variety of things.
My someday (aka when I have my own place) goal pets include an argentine black and white tegu, a cat, a tokay gecko, a ball python, and fancy goldfish.
I'm excited to participate in this forum, even if the format is not really up my alley (I struggle with forums). I'm looking forward to getting to know you all better!

Hello everyone! I realized I haven't yet posted in here, so I thought I'd go ahead and do that! I have piercings, 1 small tattoo (and want more!) and I do crazy stuff to my hair all the time.
